Top K-Dramas Must Watch on 2022


Everyone in the world can feel how hot it is. What better way to relax than to turn on the air conditioner and watch an excellent Korean drama?


Here are a few new series that will start in June and keep you busy for the next few months.


1. Eve


Starring: Seo Yea-ji, Lee Sang-yeob and Park Byung-eun


Eve tells the story of a divorce scandal that cost 2 trillion won (about S$2.2 billion) and shocked the country.


Lee Ra-el, played by Seo Yea-ji, is at the centre of the lawsuit. She is a charming and intelligent woman with a secret plan.


Eve currently streaming on Viu.



2. Why Her?


Cast: Seo Hyun-jin, Hwang In-youp, Bae In-hyuk, Heo Joon-ho, Lee Jin-hyuk, and Lee Joo-woo are among the actors who play key roles.


Oh Soo-Jae (Seo Hyun-jin) is a talented lawyer and the youngest partner at one of the best law firms in the country. She really wants to win, so she is well on her way to becoming the best lawyer at the firm.


This changes when one of her cases takes a turn she didn't expect, which gets her demoted. She becomes a part-time professor at a law school, where she meets Gong Chan (Hwang In-youp), a law student with a painful past but a kind heart.


Ten years ago, when he was wrongly accused of a crime, he met Soo-Jae for the first time. Even though they have had a bad past together, Gong Chan falls in love with Soo-Jae.

3. Doctor Lawyer


Starring: So Ji-sub, Shin Sung-rok and Im Soo-hyang


Han Yi-han, played by So Ji-Sub, is a top-notch doctor. He went to the best medical school in South Korea and graduated at the top of his class. He specialised in two areas: general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery. But one surgery changes his whole life.


Yi-han thinks he did an excellent job during that surgery, but the patient dies, and his licence to practise medicine is taken away.


After four years, Yi-han is a lawyer who focuses on medical litigation. In court, he stands up for people who have been hurt and tries to get people who have done bad things in the medical field punished. For example, he works with a public prosecutor who lost a family member and a lover because of the surgery Yi-han did.


Yi-han also tries to find out what happened when one of his patients died.

4. Link: Eat, Love, Kill


Cast: Yeo Jin-goo and Mun Ga-young play the leads.


When famous chef Eun Kye-hoon (Yeo Jin-goo) suddenly feels someone else's feelings and starts crying in front of a restaurant full of customers, he is forced to think about his past and the mysterious disappearance of his twin sister.


He drops everything and goes back to his hometown, where he meets a mysterious woman with a secret of her own and falls in love with her.


Eat, Love, Kill starts on Disney+ on June 6.



5. Alchemy of Souls


Cast: Jung So-min and Lee Jae-Wook.


A man from a well-known family asks a powerful sorceress in the body of a blind woman to help him change his fate.


Jang Wook (Lee Jae-Wook), a troublemaker in Daeho, comes from a noble family and has an evil secret about his birth that everyone in the country talks about.


Jang Wook meets Deok Yi, who is played by Jung So-min. Deok Yi is an elite warrior whose soul is stuck in a weak body. She works for Jang Wook and teaches him how to fight behind his back.


Alchemy of Souls comes out on Netflix on June 18.



6. Money Heist: Korea — Joint Economic Area



Cast: Yoo Ji-tae, Park Hae-soo, Jeon Jong-seo, Lee Won-jong, and Park Myung-hoon play essential roles in the series.


A brilliant planner and a group of top-notch thieves try to pull off a heist that has never been done before: stealing the mint of a unified Korea.


Since there are hostages inside, the police must stop them and find out who is behind them.


Money Heist: Korea—Joint Economic Area, will be available on Netflix starting June 24.



7. Cafe Minamdang



Starring: Seo In-guk, Oh Yeon-seo


Cafe Minamdang is a comedy-mystery show based on the famous web novel of the same name. Seo In-guk plays Nam Han-joon, a fake shaman who used to be a profiler.


Han Jae-hee, a detective in the violent crimes unit who cares deeply about doing the right thing, is played by Oh Yeon-seo.


Cafe Minamdang starts on Netflix on June 27.
